Sedona is a special place. Most people are aware of the red rock formations and close proximity to the Grand Canyon, but it has so much more to offer.
Sedona’s beauty is largely due to the red rocks and the meandering Oak Creek. The creek winds through town, inspiring thriving greenery. This is what makes Sedona such a photogenic destination. In fact, there are several state parks; all with uniquely gorgeous settings.
In addition, Sedona has over 120 official hiking trails, from beginner to advanced. With so many choices, you can choose to hike or ride a mountain bike in a cooler, shaded part of town in the summer and a more exposed trail in the winter.
Sedona has great restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Although, most of the town closes down early in the evening. It is a small town, after all.
